Street Closure Is As Follows:

On the date your residence is directly impacted by asphalt seal coating…you can expect to have your street closed off that morning beginning at 7AM until approximately 7PM.
Scope of Work
-
Asphalt Cracks ¼” wide up to 1” wide will be filled with Hot Rubberized Crack Fill Material.
-
Entire Community Streets will undergo Asphalt Seal Coat Application
What You Can Expect To See Following Completion Of Work
Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing of Smaller Cracks
Asphalt Cracks can allow water to penetrate down within the pavement and can get down into the
underlying subgrade (The area immediately below the asphalt pavement). When this occurs more wide
spread cracking and even complete failure of the pavement can occur. The purpose of sealing these
smaller cracks with Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing Material is to assist in keeping cracks water tight to
prevent penetration of water.
The imperfections of these cracks will still be visible and even show through the Seal Coat that will be
applied on top of the street following this crack sealing treatment.
Seal Coating of Entire HOA Streets
Seal Coating Material will be placed on top of all the asphalt streets within your HOA. This is a
Maintenance Treatment to help protect the pre-existing asphalt and help to maintain the remaining
lifecycle for as long as possible before more extensive repairs or complete pavement rehabilitation is
needed.
Seal Coating is different from Type I or Type II Slurry that you may have seen performed on surrounding
city streets. Seal Coating is a very thin layer of Asphalt Emulsion that gets applied on top of the asphalt
pavement that helps protect the underlying asphalt from the Elements (Sun/UV Rays, rain or irrigation
runoff etc.) and tire friction. IT DOES NOT COVER UP THE IMPERFECTIONS AND CRACKS THAT
ARE PRESENT!!!
